search for a full-time nanny for our three young children. We interviewed many likely candidates
but not one of them connected with the kids they way she did- she was able to garner their
affection right away because she treated them with respect, played engaging games with them,
and learned about their personalities by really listening to them. Milly has a brilliant personality
herself and she was able to open the children up to new creative outlets in music and the arts. She
fostered their social emotional development by establishing a positive and supportive
environment where the children felt safe to express their emotions. She also set very clear limits

In the midst of Milly’s nannying services our youngest son was diagnosed with autism. Luckily
we were able to diagnose early, but early interventions make a critical impact on future abilities.
Milly worked diligently to learn new strategies and guide our son through very tough tantrums.
Her wherewithal was a huge asset to our success in mainstreaming our son into a regular
elementary school.

Milly worked with our family full-time and some weekends for two years and when the children
began to attend preschool she continued to work with us part-time as well. Once all of our
children began elementary school we were lucky enough to have Milly work with us as an
intermittent sitter for date nights and special occasions. I would highly recommend Milly
LaMadrid for any childcare position she sought after. As a matter of fact, I can’t imagine passing
up the opportunity to work with her—she is a remarkable person and anyone would be lucky to
have her care for their child or children.”

“Milly has been with us, as a babysitter and part of our family, for almost 6 years.
I have 5 children aged 11, 11, 7, 5 and 2. Milly has cared for the youngest two since
they were newborns. All of my children have unique needs which makes this not a job
for just anyone. It takes someone really special to take on the challenges that I
present to her and I can’t imagine anyone handling this better than Milly.

One of my twin 11-year-olds has Asperger’s syndrome and ADHD and the other one has
bipolar disorder, ADHD, and issues with depression. The seven and five-year-old girls
both have ADHD and the youngest is already showing signs of a mood disorder as well.
He can throw massive, violent tantrums where I fear for the safety of those around him.
But she loves him so much even though he can be somewhat abusive towards her. She
responds to him with love and comfort which calms him and breaks down his defenses,
every time. She has brought out a loving side of him which he did not previously have.
He asks for her every day which is so wonderful to see because I was very concerned with
his lack of connection to people. Without her and her loving support of him, I am very
scared to think of where he would be today.

She has an individual connection to all 5 kids and meets their individual needs
with love and support. The kids always have so much fun with Milly, and Milly
has fun with them as well. It’s very obvious that it’s not a job to her, but something
she genuinely loves to do which is so important when choosing someone to be around your
children. She loves them and takes a personal interest in their growth and happiness.
Milly is, hands down, the best there is. If ever there was a situation where Milly could
not come in and I had the choice between getting someone else to come in just once or
canceling my plans, I would cancel my plans. Milly is extremely trustworthy, fun, loving,
supportive and just amazing with kids. I and my children, highly recommend her.”
